Q: Is Future Shocks associated with Alan
Moore?
A: No, there was only one instance where Alan Moore and
Futureshocks.com crossed paths and that was through the site owner &
Alan Moore's publicist concerning setting Futureshocks up as a fan
site that was devoted to Alan Moore's work. Futureshocks site and
Alan Moore are not related. Alan Moore did contribute to 2000AD's
publication called "Tharg's Futureshocks" early in his writing
career.
Q: Is Future Shocks associated with
2000AD Comics (Rebellion) and/or Jason & Chris Kingsley?
A: 2000AD is a comic series published in Britain which includes such
hits as Judge Dredd. Jason & Chris Kingsley started Rebellion in
1991 (Aliens vs Predator as some of their productions), and took
over 2000AD in 2000. Although there has been a few emails over the
years in which Futureshocks name was shopped to Jason & Chris there
is no association with them. The site owner has a lot of respect for
Jason & Chris and what they have done with Rebellion.
Q: Is Future Shocks associated with
Alvin & Heidi Toffler?
A: No. But, Future Shocks is definitely inspired by Alvin & Heidi
Toffler and the work that they have done & continue to do.
Q: Is Future Shocks strictly a Science
Fiction Site?
A: No. We are not sure what we exactly are. There seems to be no
real category for the site as it tries to keep a balance between
science fiction, science fact and the impact of those facts on
society at larger.
